Finding Faith in Heartbreak

In this episode we begin with heavy hearts as we reflect on two heartbreaking tragedies in Van Zandt County, Texas. Our community is mourning the loss of a sheriff's deputy who gave his life in the line of duty, along with a devastating house fire that claimed the lives of a mother and her young children.

These tragedies leave families grieving, a community searching for answers, and many asking difficult questions. Where is God in the midst of unimaginable loss? How do we hold on to our faith when life doesn't make sense?

We take time to honor those whose lives were lost, remember the families left behind, and examine these heartbreaking events through a biblical lens. We discuss grief, the sovereignty of God, the hope we have in Christ, and the importance of coming together as a community during times of suffering.

Later in the episode, we shift gears to college football as we take a closer look at the Texas Longhorns and Texas A&M Aggies. Both programs have high expectations, passionate fan bases, and plenty of talent, but what are they missing? We discuss the deficiencies holding each program back and what needs to change for them to reach their potential
