We’re back! It's that magical time of year when we blend turkey, tinsel, and touchdown celebrations in our epic Thanks-Christmas-giving episode. It’s been a minute since we've graced your ears with our charming banter, but fear not! We're ready to tackle the holiday season with the finesse of a Heisman winner and the enthusiasm of a kid on Christmas morning.
In this episode, we dive headfirst into the exhilarating world of college football playoffs—noting that some teams are dreaming of sugarplum victories while others are just hoping Santa doesn’t put them on the naughty list for their questionable performance. Meanwhile, the NFL continues its own chaotic dance, with referees making calls that leave us scratching our heads and questioning if they've been sipping too much eggnog.
But wait, there's more! Beneath all the touchdowns and turkey talk, we delve into the true spirit of the season—the warm, fuzzy feelings that come from giving, sharing, and remembering what really matters (hint: it’s not just the latest gadget on your wish list). We promise to keep the conversation lively and the laughter flowing.

This week we start off our show by discussing the devastation with the two hurricanes that have hit quite a few southern states. It is our prayer that those affected by all of this will find some peace and know that God is right there with them.
The last few weeks of college football have been crazy, at best we catch up with week 5 and then the madness of week 6 which brought a weekend full of upsets and and a lot of top 25 teams took losses from teams no one expected them to lose to. Then we move on to the big week number 7 as we have our annual guest host Preston join us and give predictions of the Texas vs OU game. We move into some NFL talk as we have decided that the NFL is just not as exciting as it used to be and has become the No Fun League.
Lastly we circle around to a little bit of conspiracy even though Brett is not with us. There is speculation circling as to why those in North Carolina are not getting the help they need and why hurricane Helene took the path that it did. But we all know that God is in control and he will do and be where he is needed.

We are going to tackle the highs, the lows, and the downright absurdities of college football and the NFL with equal parts enthusiasm and snark! In this week's episode, we dive headfirst into the whirlwind world of Weeks 3 and 4 in college football, where the top 25 teams have been flexing their muscles—or, in some cases, tripping over their own shoelaces.
But wait, there's more! Just when you thought it was safe to look away, the NFL is back, and it's as thrilling as watching paint dry! We’ll cast our eyes on the Dallas Cowboys, who somehow manage to be both America’s Team and the team that America loves to mock. Spoiler alert: their performance hasn't exactly been a Super Bowl-worthy spectacle.
And speaking of redefining, the political sphere is giving us a run for our money! With all the chaos and confusion that’s been brewing, we can’t help but wonder if the folks in charge are actually trying to draft a team for a new sport called “Political Football.” Tune in as we connect the dots (or lack thereof) between the turf wars of college stadiums, the gridiron drama of the NFL, and the circus that is our political landscape. But most importantly how we tie each of these topics back to Christ.
